TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

2 DAY INTENSIVE HANDS ON PRINTING ACADEMY

Are you looking to get into the 7.6 billion dollar a year industry of screen printing? We are here for you! We hold monthly classes that are based on a core curriculum for entrance level screen printing education. A through Z and everything in between. This course was developed by Ryonet Corp in order to best suite their customer base, which was SCREEN PRINTERS. Not only do we educate each individual in the technical side of screen printing, we will also show you how to market your new or existing business.

This is how it goes:

Day 1
- Presentation of screen printing and introduction to our industry
- Begginer and advanced terminology
- Basic artwork separations and development
- Usage of rip software
- Film production
- Screen mesh and tension
- How to set up a dark room
- Screen treatement (degreasing and reclaiming new and old screens)
- Exposure times and techniques followed by washout
- Pre-Press set up and breakdown

Day 2
HANDS ON ALL DAY
- 1 color bacic printing
- 2 to 3 color registration
- Correct usage of flash dryer
- 4 color process printing
- Simulated process printing (software used Separation Studio)
- Discharge printing
- Waterbase printing
- Foil application

All students will be spoken to in a private consultaion about their specific needs and questions. Classes will be cut off at a certain number based on instructors. Our goal is to make certain, that everyone receives the same amount of attention regardless of prior experience. Courses tend to fill quickly so SIGN UP TODAY!

- The Tee Shirt Party

This workshop is intended for indivuduals that want to explore new art forms, or to simply try something new. This is the newest addition to our micro workshops and we must say, VERY ENJOYABLE! Come spend time in our shop, and print your very own designer tee shirts. We provide all garments and designs you will need for printing a fashionable works of art. Class starts with a quick description of what screen printing is all about, from here you print, print and print. We offer different different style graphics to choose from, so get creative and make your own custom designer tee shirt. Each month we will have different designs to print, so make it a creative habbit!

Class dates are the 3rd Thursday of every month and go from 7pm-9pm.

- The Learn More Printing Courses

These workshops are geared for people who want to learn about screen printing. Also many of our guest have already been printing and want to dive a bit more in depth to certain areas of screen printing. Below are the course outlines.

All workshops are 2 hours long and start at $75ea.

DAY 1 OUTLINE AND DATES 2011:
Saturday Sept 17th
Saturday Dec 10th

WORKSHOP 1 - INTRO TO BASIC PRINTING - 9am
- Basic artwork and darkroom prep
- We will explore simple one color printing,
proper squeegee angle and preasure
- This course is geared in getting used to the physical side of
screen printing. The faster and more accurately you print all
advanced processes become simpler

WORKSHOP 2 - INTERMEDIATE PRINTING -12pm
- Multi color registration
- Light ink on dark garments
- Production printing and set up
- This course is to help a novice printer jump into
the next level of printing "Making Money Printing"

WORKSHOP 3 - BASIC SCREEN PRINT ARTWORK - 3pm
- A comon misconception of artwork is that any digital design is
suitable for screen printing. This is totally incorrect. In this course
we will educate you on the importance of proper color usage and
how to corelate whats on the screen, to how it will look completed.
We will focus mainly on vector artwork and design, also briefly touching
on raster imaging as well

Day 2 OUTLINE AND DATES 2011:
Saturday Sept 24th
Saturday Dec 17th

WORKSHOP 4 - ADVANCED SCREEN PRINTINg - 9am
- Full color image printing. In this course we will cover how to
color separate full color images to be printed on any color substrate.
Focus will also be on the programs we use to complete this task.
We use Separation Studio to color correct our artwork and design. We will
start from conceptual artwork and how to properly prep for this type of
printing. From here, we will be printing the artwork we correct digitaly. WE
do this so you can watch from start to finish, with no smoke and mirrors.

WORKSHOP 5 - FASHION PRINTING - 12pm
- Like in any industry, processes are contantly changing. Since we
sell and distrubute supplies as well as print, we are always ahead of the game.
This class will focuse on Water Base and Discharge printing. Both used greatly
in our world of graphic tee shirts. Covering overlapping, all over printing, tagging and product sampling

WORKSHOP 6 - ADVANCED ARTWORK - 3pm
- In this course we will take all prior knowledge to screen printing, and apply it
to our design programs. Together we will break down artwork and express the
importance of each and every tool needed for color separation. Also covering
out put importance and rip software. *A personal computer for each student
is required for this course*

PRIVATE CLASSES

Do you learn better in a face to face private atmosphere? Then have the owner to yourself. Greg Greco will instruct you and up to 4 guest on how to start your very own screen printing business. This class is from 9am - 6pm. We will cover all elements of screen printing and you are hands on all day. You will burn and coat your own screen, register a job, printing in semi production and are allowed to bring 2 designs up to 3 colors each for this lesson.We will cover how to separate these prints correctly using vector artwork. Our goal here is to fulfil your needs, since it is a private class, lets print YOUR stuff!
